Otha Lee Foster was born April 25, 1923 to Sarah Holliman-Cook and Levi Foster in Chauncey, Georgia, to later reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was called home August 31, 2015. Otha attended Chauncey School in Dodge County, Georgia until he joined the Army. He retired from the Army and then made his home in Cincinnati, where he worked for the City of Cincinnati in sanitation until retirement in 1985. He began a career in transportation and bought his own yellow cab to become one of Yellow Cabs’ finest.

He was a wonderful father, husband, friend, and companion. He loved his family and Christ. He served the Lord under the late Rev. Martin of Beulah Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and on the Usher Board until his health failed.

Foster was preceded in death by both his parents; his wife, Emma Jean Foster; and his brother, Willie Coley. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Phyllisteen Parson, Adrian Foster-Allen, Carla Foster, Felicia Davis, Glynis Foster, Mavis Stephens (Michael); son, Keith Foster (Dolores); grandchildren, JaMia P. Foster-Mazion, Kane Mazion, Michael Stephens, Miles Stephens, Nischi Thomas-Cole (Andre), Patrice Thomas, Sheena Davis, Megan Robertson, Tyler Robertson, Star Prince-Brannon (Dashawn), Clinton Crumpton, Rashan Crumpton, Tremika Foster, Syreeta Foster-Dugger (Tony), Greg Welch, Khalil Tiffany Kavemi, Brandi Johnson, Kallie Parson; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.


Funeral Ceremony will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 8, 2015 with a visitation from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
