Helen M. Helm
1932 - 2015

Helen M. Helm, age 82, second born to Everett and Ada Burnside was born in Cox Creek, Kentucky on December 24, 1932.

Helen, known by many simply as “Grandma” was preceded in death by her parents, Ada and Everett Burnside and brothers, Benjamin and Joseph Burnside. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Peter Helm, and 5 children.

Helen graduated from Bardstown Training High School in 1949. While her husband was in the U.S. Army, Helen had the opportunity to reside in many places across the world, including Gelnhausen, Germany. This lead to lifelong friendships.
Helen was an active and loyal member at St. Clare Parish for over 40 years. Helen served on many committees. In 1995 she retired from Federated Department Stores. Helen then continued her work as an in-home childcare provider for Hamilton County.

In loving memory of her passing, she leaves: her husband, Peter Helm; 5 children, Pamela Wilcoxson, David (Marilyn) Helm, Florence Moore, James Helm, and Tiffiney Helm; 6 grandchildren, Latonya Wynn, Cassondra Moore, Belinda Moore, Brandy Helm, Jamila Campbell, and Krystal Lear; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Anna Baptise; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

Helen will always be known for her generosity, kindness, magnetic spirit, and her “tell it like it is” swagg. Helen will forever be missed but will never be forgotten.

Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 2, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1443 Cedar Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.
