Dontai L. "P Zone" Fikes
1976 - 2015

Dontai L. Fikes of Cincinnati, Ohio was born on December 9th, 1976 in Akron, Ohio to Daniel Fikes and Sheila Wilson. As a child growing up, Dontai was into a variety of sports and other outdoor activities. He also was a teammate for the little league baseball team. Dontai was an outstanding father, son, brother, and much more. He enjoyed making others laugh and smile. He had a heart of gold and would give his last penny in good spirits to help anyone. Dontai was a very loving person and had a smile that would light up an entire room. He was the true definition of a Gentle Giant. He was there for his children in every way he could possibly be. Dontai attended Western Hills High School; then later went on to receive a trade in carpentry work. Dontai loved fishing, camping, and all other outdoor activities. He accomplished so many things in his life; he coached the little bears football team. Dontai had a passion for animals and old school automobiles. He recently turned himself over to the Lord and started to receive the word from the heavenly father. Dontai had a commitment to God to fix broken homes when no one else thought it was possible. He was also thinking of going back to school to further his education along with his trade. He worked on contracting work for over 15 years. Dontai also played football for the Comets from 1997-2010, then went on to play DE/LB for the Cincinnati Jets. He was the tip of the spear and made a name for himself, which was P-Zone, on the field and off. Football was his dream. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Elise J. Wilson and Sylvester Wilson, and his dog Traver. Dontai leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted mother, Sheila Wilson; 3 children, Dontai L. Fikes, Jr, Deontai L. Fikes, and Sahana D. Fikes; Grandson, Sahir P. Green; his wife, Patrice M. McDonald; brothers and sisters, Adrian Marshall, Tonia Fikes, Eddie Hopgood; his brothers, sisters in Akron, Ohio; aunts and uncles; special niece, Amani Cubwell from Texas; nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
