Mary A. Robinson
1941 - 2017

Mary Ann (Henderson) Robinson was born July 24, 1941 to Elmer and Margaret Henderson in Cincinnati Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Henderson and Margaret Barner; husband, Richard Robinson; brothers, Elmer and Steve Henderson; sisters, Eleanor Blackmon, Carolyn Mahaffey and Saundra Johnson. Mary Ann took flight to be with the Lord on October 9, 2017.

Mary Ann accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She later joined Inspirational Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E. O. Thomas. She was a devoted member of Inspirational Baptist Church, where she served on the Pastor’s Aide Ministry. She attended the early morning service and remained faithful until illness would not permit regular attendance. One of her favorite scriptures was Isaiah 41:10 which reads:

FEAR THOU NOT, FOR I AM WITH THEE: BE NOT DISMAYED; FOR I AM THOU GOD: I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE: YEA I WILL HELP THEE; YEA I WILL UPHOLD THEE WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF MY RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Mary Ann received her education through Cincinnati Public Schools, graduating from Hughes High School. She later attended the University of Cincinnati, where she received a BS degree and a MS degree.

Mary Ann met and later married Richard Robinson in 1974.

Mary Ann was a 911 operator for the Hamilton County Communications Center and retired in 2005 after 30 years of service.

Mary Ann lived a life of love and caring, with family and friends. Working in her yard gave her much joy and pleasure, from planting flowers to planting shrubs. She loved to walk in the Winton Woods Park with her dogs, Jason and Cody. She loved all music, particularly the voices of Mahalia Jackson and Celine Dion.

Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory: son Ricardo L. Henderson Sr., four grandchildren, Brandy, Ricardo Jr., James and Kevin Sr. Henderson; six great grandchildren, Qwynse, Genesis, Sameah, Kevin Jr. Ricardo III, and Royal; brothers, Rev. Donald Henderson (Jewel), David Scott Henderson; sister, Betty Davis; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith.
