Mitchell, Helen age 78, of Miami Town, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on August 14, 1939 to Vertis Phelps and Viola Locke (nee Acey).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James H. Mitchell; son, Dennis King; half-brother, Wendell Phelps, half-sister, Annamarie Mullins and half-brother, Huger lee Phelps. Helen is survived by her beloved children, Brenda (Rick) Ziegelmeier, Yvonne (Russ) Reeves, Sherry (Clyde) Earls, Michelle (Scott) Wright and Jamie (Josh) Mitchell; grandchildren, 16, great-grandchildren, 34; brother, Hubert Phelps, brother, James Phelps, half-sister, Barb Roberts, half-sister, Wanda Lane, half-brother, Frank Phelps and half-sister, Joyce Roy; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm, with a visitation from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
