Woody Sr., Ernest Ray age 80, of Cleves, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 9, 1936 to Edward Jennings Woody and Carlena Woody (nee Bell). Ernest married Margaret Smith on March 17, 1958 and she preceded him in death on August 9, 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Alex Woody and James E. Woody Sr.; three sisters, Rose Rolfus, Carol Weiss and Emma Jean Skinner; and his son-in-law, Walter Barker. Ernest is survived by his children, Ernest R. Woody Jr, Paula Unroe and Shiela Barker; his brothers, Jesse Woody and Jerry Woody; his sister, Shirley Wolford; his half-brother, Luther Williams; his grandchildren, James Unroe, Patrick Woody, James Barker, Michael Stalder, Torrie Barker, Monica Woody, Jessica Woody, Jennifer Woody and Tonya Woody; his great-grandchildren, Emmaleigh Unroe, James Edward Unroe V, Summer Lily Unroe, Jeremy Woody, Payton Woody, Karissa Woody and Jonathon Woody; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt. Moriah Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245.
