STEPHENS, Cherie Dawn age 85, of Montgomery, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 5, 1931 to the late George and Lula Depenbrock (nee Tomlinson). Cherie was a loving mother, sister, and friend who enjoyed gardening and traveling. Cherie graduated from Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1950, and she continued to stay active throughout her life with her friends from Withrow. Cherie fell in love with and married Steve Stephens on September 11, 1951 and was married for over 50 years until Steve's death in 2002.

Cherie is survived by her daughters, Steffanie Gentile of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kimberly Adams of Tryon, North Carolina; her son, Michael Stephens of Dayton, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Matthew Gentile of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Gentile of Washington DC, and Alexandra Adams of Tryon, North Carolina; her two sisters, Patricia Vaccariello and Robetta Benevengo; her two great-grandchildren, Graham and Grace Gentile of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Ln., Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will be held in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017. A reception will follow the graveside service until 6:00 pm at the Riverpointe Condominium Clubhouse, 1 Riverpointe Drive, Dayton, Kentucky 41074.
